Ramblings
After over a year, Prelude is finally available in printed copies. It’s been kind of a long haul, but I’m proud of the product. Formatting for printing is a bitch and was a bigger headache than I’d anticipated. But the quality is pretty high, and I’m happy with the outcome.
For those of you interested, you can order it on Amazon.
Which brings me to the New Year. For those of you stressing about Caprice, rest assured it’s still on target to make its release date. My line editor and I are 1/2 way through the tedious part (we made it to Part II Dec. 30!) We’re currently taking a break from editing for personal reasons and just because it’s a tremendous task. We’ll hit it hard soon and complete well before our deadline.
And no, I’m not giving you a solid date yet. It’s still Spring. I’ll announce the release date soon, I promise.
The new year in my circle usually brings writers who are hoping to meet their goals to get more words on paper. That’s not really a problem of mine. Even on off months, where I’m going over stuff I’ve written, I’m still writing new content that may or may not see the light of day. So I have a different resolution for 2015: to do more reading. Since working on the Rhapsody Quartet, I haven’t read much of anything but my own stuff (to edit. I’m only kind of that narcissistic!). So I’m going to promise myself to read at least one book a month on my backlog of fiction. Suggestions are welcome, especially in YA genre!
