I have known Mary Lee for more than 30 years. She is a self reliant, strong, ambitious woman moving through life’s difficulties with grace, humor, understanding, and a sense of purpose. As one would expect, the loss of her husband, the love of her life, hit hard. Yet in classic Mary Lee style, she turned her “scars into stars,” and wrote this little book (a quick read & compilation of the thoughts of widows & widowers) to blaze a path for others, helping both the bereaved and those who offer their support. In this book is the bittersweet tale of her loss, the strength she drew upon, her method of survival, and what she’s done to help others live again after their loss.
