HOW A BOOK IS MADE
Hi Everyone, thanks for stopping by. While meandering through various social sites I stumbled across an author by the name of Lauren Oliver, a N.Y. Times bestseller of several books. You must look her up here on Goodreads. I came to a link at Goodreads for a short reading that she did on one of her books titled THE SPINDLERS. From there I found a series of short videos by Lauren on the subject of HOW A BOOK IS MADE and decided to listen. Know what? They're awesome.
You'll not only get to visit with Lauren, but she'll bring you behind the scenes to her HarperCollins Publishers house where you'll meet her Editorial Director Rosemary Brosnan, her Production Director Ruiko Tokunaga, and the Managing Editor Brenna Franzitta who all tell how their pieces fit into the puzzle of getting a book published.
I loved these short videos, and I think you will too. And guess what happened in the interim...I became a fan! I fell in love with Lauren and her stories and can't wait to order her books.
How a Book is Made - Episode 1: DEVELOPING THE IDEA
How a Book is Made - Episode 2: WRITING THE STORY
How a Book is Made - Episode 3: EDITING THE BOOK
How a Book is Made - Episode 4: CREATING THE ART
How a Book is Made - Episode 5: PROOFING THE STORY
How a Book is Made - Episode 6: PRINTING THE BOOK
How a Book is Made - Episode 7: READING THE BOOK
Thanks again for visiting. I hope you enjoy these short but fun videos as much as I did.
