To View Ourselves

You may have already noticed in your life that the time when you connect most with the world around you is when you are observing and not thinking. Thinking, of course, has its purpose; understanding the optical and vibratory nature of electromagnetism has its own rewards.

Yet, there is something greater to a sunrise than an atmospheric effect or its light spectrum. If all we do is think when we look at a sunrise, we are unable to truly appreciate the beauty inherent in these wondrous natural phenomena.

Consider how we normally see each other. The same way a student of science studies optics, we analyze each other's achievements, behaviors and temperaments. We devote a great deal of time thinking about other people, particularly for people which affect our lives directly – friends, family, co-workers. Yet, just like there is more to a sunset than its light spectrum, there is more to each one of us than memories, life experiences and physiological and psychological makeup.

Look at other human beings without conception or judgment and you may find a beauty like the one inherent in a sunset and perhaps more.
