Changing History

Apart from writing a good story and good looking book, part of my reason for writing The Buttercup was to help restore the names of the Buttercup and Andrew Ewing to their rightful place in history.

The recent opening of the Buttercup Farm Park was a major step forward. I also noticed this heritage plaque outside a former Buttercup shop, which is another small step in the right direction. "Buttercup Dairy (1924-45): This branch of the philanthropic chain sold milk and eggs from the company’s Scottish farms. The shops were recognisable by their distinctive tiled entrances"
