I agree. I like that there's multiple ways for the HEA to go. As long as the couple is clearly together and clearly happy about it (no matter what that means for them) then I'm satisfied. In fact, I think it's kind of boring if all of them end the same. Where is the character specific ending? It's ok, kids and marriage aren't for everyone. One of the stories I really like had a sort of open relationship at the end, but that worked with who the characters were and they were happy so I was happy. I guess happiness is the key for me. If they're all happy then I'm happy :)
i don't need marriage and babies in my story. sometimes those are too cliche anyway. as long as both party is at a good place and satisfied, that's my HEA.Tuscon and Cambodia works for me, but not Tilda Swinton.
Ok, so maybe being just 40 makes me too traditional, but no way on the two lovers. That's way too much work!! That means I have to learn/care about two sets of families, listen to glory stories times two, have football season times two, college basketball times two, two guys who can't pickup or wash their own boxers...And I will never get to touch a remote....no thank youNow, alternating handymen who are the strong silent type, that could work! Of course the crazy wild sex is included.
My HEA is alluding to a future promise. What that promise entails is totally up for grabs.
