ON PURPOSE
Have you ever thought about why you do the things that you do?
I used to believe that the things I used to do was because either I had to do them because they needed to be done, because if I didn’t do them, they wouldn’t get done, or doing them were thrust upon me from external sources. There comes a point in a person’s life when they must, “STOP” and really think about why do they do the things that they do. One of my trusted advisors always says to me, “Not only must you do the right thing; but you must do the right thing for the right reason.”
You know…that “ah ha” moment! Well, I had my “ah ha” moment on yesterday while speaking with my Marketing Director from Applause Publishing Company. He helped me to realize that the many things that I do in life from family to a business perspective, I do “On Purpose” and not by chance or by accident!
Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition of Purpose is: “the aim or intention of something”
So when I provide for my children, I do it “On Purpose”
When I sow into someone’s life, I do it “On Purpose”
When I take the time out to deliver a word of encouragement, I do it “On Purpose”
When I sit quietly in a room meditating on how I can become a better person, I do it “On Purpose”
When you have your “ah ha” moment, the very intent of your heart and mind will begin to align itself and you will begin to become more conscious and aware of why you do the things you do, “On Purpose”.
I have decided that I am the only person that can change the course of my life. I only have one life to live and I’m living it “On Purpose”. Ladies and Gentlemen, “Life is a journey, not a destination”, so enjoy it to the fullest….“On Purpose”.
Today, I pray that you experience an “ah ha” moment “On Purpose”!
