Hi Everyone! Sorry it’s been awhile...
This week (March 2-8) is National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week and I wanted to include a post about this disease (The Monster) that so many people are fighting – people you may not even know are sick.
If you’ve read “Hope for Garbage” than you know one of the characters has MS- I won’t give it away for those of you who haven’t read the book, but including that storyline was my own way of raising a tiny bit of awareness. I’ve decided in any future projects, including the novel I’m working on now, there will be a mention of MS somewhere.
Every connection counts. That is one of the taglines of the MS Awareness Campaign and I believe it to be true. Awareness matters. If one person out of a thousand decides to go to the MS website and do something, whether it be contribute $10, or join a MS walk, or just send an encouraging message to someone they know with MS, that is a huge VICTORY over the Monster.
