My Second Chance science fiction series is perhaps the most unusal scifi story that you have ever read. The protagonist starts out as a 71-year-old criminal who has been chewed up and spit out by life. He's a Loro (Kung Fu) blackbelt and he gets a job as a bodyguard to a religious figure. He and his client roam through a gritty inner city environment (realisitc, I grew up in the same) in search of a mysterious scroll. He begins to develop low level paranormal skills, probably from his client. He then joins his client in the invasion of a temple to try to obtain the scroll. The end result is a classic science fiction battle! He then returns home and discovers that he maybe looks a bit younger. A hospital confirms his thought. He then discovers that he can continue to grow younger if he obtains the life force of others. He then travels to try to grow younger. In his travels he becomes involved with drug dealers. He discovers that the source of the drugs are alien dealers. He's captured by alien police and is then dispatched to track down a dangerous escaped alien. He then discovers that he's to be killed after he deals with the dangerous alien. Then again, people have been trying to kill him pretty much his entire life.
