Keep Hope Alive

People, problems, situations, just life can leave you feeling depressed, angry, aggravated, dejected, and hopeless. Sometimes life just sucks.

In my younger days I used to wonder what is the meaning of all this? Come on God was eating a little old apple all that bad? And why do I have to suffer for something that happened eons before me? Never did get those answers…..

There were times when the tests and trials in my life were so overwhelming. It felt like they were going to overtake me. Those stories alone could fill a zillion books and blogs. But I don’t want to dwell on the negative. I have and it only makes things worse trust me! I’m older and wiser so I try to be a glass half full kinda girl.

I’m a realist rooted in hope. Does that make sense? I believe things are what they are. I’m not a fan of acting like something is not what it is. It is what it is, is a favorite saying of mine. Yet in my life while I deal with how things are I never ever stop hoping and believing for more; for better. Where there is breath there is hope is another saying I like.

It’s not always easy but I simply refuse to give up HOPE. Hope is a universal concept that transcends societies, cultures, gender and religion. Who doesn’t hope for a better tomorrow than today?

Hope has extrinsic and intrinsic values. As a person of faith; I believe hope can literally change the external. As we all know before an external change occurs there is usually a period of “waiting” (ugh). As a side note I plan to write on patience in the near future so I won’t expound too much on the topic other than to say waiting is not something I particularly enjoy. But it is what it is. So I’ve learned to wait.

There are intrinsic benefits in remaining hopeful while we wait. Hope makes you think better, feel better, look better and BE better. Being hopeful puts a spring in our step, a glide in our stride, a smile on our lips, the will to keep keeping on.

“KP it’s not that easy to remain hopeful.” I know. I have had to learn to remain hopeful and take a position of faith no matter what. It’s a process.

“You have no idea what I’m going through.” I don’t but God does. He’s got you.

Choosing hope and faith can be difficult and seemingly impossible yet at the core it’s just that simple.

So no matter what is going on no matter what is wrong ; hope, believe and have faith it will be better; BECAUSE IT WILL BE.

HOPE REALLY DOES SPRING ETERNAL!!! NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

KEEP HOPE ALIVE!!!
