Question: What do you want to see at an author’s website?

I’m revamping this site in preparation for the launch of my free fantasy novel Dragonsword this week.*

While doing so I’ve been thinking and asking around about what people would like to see on an author’s website.

So what does that look like, in your ideal world? I’m assuming book info and blog posts, but beyond that?

downloadable free stories?
podcasts?
discussion forum?
maps and world building info for the book settings?
character interviews/profiles?

I don’t know what else. You tell me. What would make a typical author’s website more interesting and engaging for you?

Please weigh in here in the Comments section, or leave a quick note at my Facebook author page. I’m eager to hear reader feedback. Even if you are reading this after the site redesign has launched, I’ll be tinkering with things here in the coming months, so I welcome your input at any time. I read each and every comment and consider what you are saying as I make design decisions to make Lizard Lair a more interesting and entertaining corner of the web.

*This necessary work has delayed the continuation of my alternate history post series, but it is right around the corner for later this week.
