The world is such a mess
All places in distress
From climate change and more
From drought to rain galore
From threats of war and strife
From terror taking life
From cheating in the schools
From others breaking rules
From prisons bursting seams
From childhood broken dreams
From Pastors get rich schemes
From wealth by any means
And yet we carry on
From night to breaking dawn
From hurt forgiving grace
From mine to evry race
From greed to genrous gift
From fallen may we lift
From random hate to bless
From pain to happiness
By faith we can survive
And thereby come to thrive
Despite the troubled land
Find love is near at hand
With Jesus let us pray
That we may find a way
To be the change we seek
As we turn the other cheek
