Paperback!

Hi everyone, I'm happy to announce that Falling Through Clouds will be published in paperback on April 28. It's exciting to see the book continue to thrive, especially because I think the Pearson family's story is so powerful and deserves attention. My goal was to tell an unadorned story of a father's determination to do right by his family, his two little girls, who suffered terribly after surviving a plane crash in which their mother died. It took amazing reserves of strength and love for him to do what he did.

Writing a book is a real journey, with highs and lows. For those in the midst of writing, keep going. Those words will add up! A book also brings unexpected opportunities: In the last year, I've been back to Minnesota three times to do readings, talks and a keynote presentation for the Minnesota Association of Justice. It was nerve wracking to stand in front of a room full of trial lawyers. But I had a sympathetic audience.

Thanks to everyone who has read this book, recommended it, and reviewed it here. There are lots of smart, sensitive readers on this site and I'm delighted that St. Martin's Press is giving the book a renewed push in paperback. Drop me a note if you like, Damian
