Hi, my name is Larry Elliot MacDonald. You can call me Larry, but when writing I use a pen name of Elliot MacDonald. I think it sounds more 'authorish.'

I have done many things through my long life including living on a sailboat and traveling with my wonderful wife Suzi.

I hold a Captain's license, and I have worked in the marine industry off and on for many years, We have traveled all around the Chesapeake Bay, up and down the U.S. East Coast many times on our boat, out to the Bahamas twice and to the Florida Keys. We never had much money and so had to make our pennies last. And we had to pull in many times to find work and recharge the cruising kitty.

I have used this experience to write a very extensive website on how to live and cruise on a boat with little money. I have, since we moved ashore about two years ago, recently completed my first novel - entitled How to Rob a Bank - a Love Story

I'm finding the writing, editing and publishing is easy when compared to marketing a book. Marketing is a different story - and something I know very little about but I'm learning.
