Mysteries

Are These The Mysteries Of Life?

Is it the chicken or the egg
We'll never know or come to peg
The answer of this mystery
Was it the acorn or the tree

Yet more import are the quests
That come when entertaining guest
Who is the first to greet hello
When do you come when do you go

Or must you spend before you earn
And can you count on a return
What are the risks of going last
Will being first mean fading fast

And then there is the half full glass
Or just perhaps half empty passed
Be careful not to crack the egg
Nor kick the chicken in the leg

And if we crossed the other side
We might just know the reason why
But if we are still in the box
We'll be as lost as Goldilocks
