I haven't read many of Hodgson's stories, but I have read and appreciated this one. It's included in Science Fiction by Gaslight: A History and Anthology of Science Fiction in the Popular Magazines, 1891-1911 (and probably a good many other anthologies as well).
I'll have to take a look at that anthology, Werner. Thanks.
