Weekly Update

Lately, the idea of censorship has come up again. On a site focusing on Ayn Rand, two people got into a heated argument over Objectivism, which is Ayn Rand’s philosophy. One argued that while he did not agree with Ayn Rand’s philosophy, he did not believe that it was as dangerous as claimed. The other argued that it should never have been allowed to be published. While not directly stated, this individual wished it were banned because it conflicted his views.

Over the last few days I have been watching the English election with interest. The conservatives won, and those who disagree with that have been posting nasty things to Facebook and arguing that those who voted the tories in are idiots. Only in our current world can the majority vote win and be treated as disrespectful. I didn’t care much for Obama in the last two elections, but the response to Bush after his elections were no different from what many said about Obama. We may be upset about the election outcome but there is no reason for the response that has come from England and America over the past number of weeks and years.

Molon Labe has reached a little over the halfway mark at 60,000 words. The semester is almost over with, so once that is done I plan on doing a rapid burst and hopefully ending the novel at 100,000 words, perhaps a little more.
