Don't Forget Me - 3

"Henry, do you understand the terms

As they have been explained?

I know you have a good heart,

But you're older, and untrained.

"Leapers -- those who use our tech

Have experience in the field

But if you do this alone

You'll be without a shield."

"Kate, you said your name was? Look.

I'm eighty-five years old.

My heart is weak, My lungs are sick

And my body's always cold.

"My wife and I were married

In nineteen seventy-five.

I loved her for forty years

Now, she barely knows I'm alive.

"I want to take her back with me

To the day that we first met,

I know she won't remember,

but I'm not done loving her yet."

"That's very sweet, I have to say,

but you need to keep in mind:

Too much time spent in the past

Could leave you both behind."

"I know the risks. I've read the book,

And I`ve made my final choice.

I want to hold her in my arms;

Kiss her, hear her voice."

"Very well, let`s get you prepped

To send you to the past.

Laura Jean's all set upstairs,

"Yes," he exclaims, "At last."
