Here we go again...
In January 2013, as I was finally starting to seriously work on finishing Cityscape, I decided to challenge myself to read twelve independently published books throughout the year, setting a pace of one per month. Eventually I started calling this challenge my "Year of Reading Independently", which I successfully completed the following December.
Throughout reading those twelve books, I picked up a lot of pointers that were very useful once I finished the draft of Cityscape and moved into the publishing stage. And, of course, I was introduced to twelve great authors, some of whom I continue to follow.
Suffice to say I'm feeling the itch again, and I've decided to embark on another Indie Book Reading Challenge! Beginning in June, I will be once again reading an independently published book a month and sharing my recommendations here. Be sure to check back for updates!
And in case you were wondering, my next book is starting to take shape. Stay tuned!
