FLOOR 21 and why I took The Dream Map Down

I quickly wanted to discuss a little bit about why Floor 21 is currently the only book I'm selling.

The thing is, between writing The Dream Map and Floor 21, I think my writing took a significant jump in terms of storytelling, pace and character development. So much so that when I look at the Dream Map I feel it's just... bloated. And the characters just don't pop with their own voices.

So I'm going to be focusing efforts on The Tower Records, which is what the series of books set in the Floor 21 universe are called. So The Dream Map is off sales.

Not because I'm never going to return to it or I'm disowning it. I'm actually going to take the lessons I learned about writing when making Floor 21, apply them to a new draft of The Dream Map some time down the road, and release it.

Sometimes you just have to grow and realize your earlier works need to be sharpened. I love the universe I created for The Dream Map. I don't love how it was portrayed. But I think I have a chance to really polish it and make it something special in the next edition.
