Nearly a year later - a new book
I just released the 4th book in the Delmar Shark Chronicles series. This one is called Breach. I had a lot of fun with it, and since Goodreads likes us to review anything we say we've read, here's my review:
Breach by Heidi Peltier
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Well, I'm the author, so of course I liked it. Why would I write it otherwise? Actually, of the 4 books currently in the series, this one is my favorite. I had the most fun planning and plotting and writing this one. While I love Merrick Delmar (the older son of Dylan and Terra) for his soft-spoken nature and kind heart and adherence to all things formal, I love Mako Delmar (their younger son) for being the wild child, the one who craves adventure and excitement. He is the one who will take over for his father, Dylan, at the Delmar Shark Institute when he's older, so his love for all sharks endears him to me. I wanted to take him to South Africa in this story to see the world renowned breaching sharks of False Bay, and oh, he does! But he also meets a eyelash-fluttering, porcelain-skinned beauty who distracts him from...well, everything. He's a full-throttle kind of guy who might have just met his match...or perhaps a brick wall. I'm not telling!
