A long absence...

Well after not posting on here since February there is a lot of updates to post.I guess first thing first is I have setup a wordpress author blog, where my updates are much more frequent than on here. Here is the link [
https://christopherscottauthor.wordpr... ], for those who wish to check it out. In addition to posting updates on my own writing, I post book reviews as well of the stuff I have read/currently reading. Since my last post, my main focus has been on Rise (death and a dragon), and another idea I have named Anarchy. I have a working synopsis of Rise in the menu under my works. While not having a synopsis for Anarchy, yet I have a feeling I want to turn it into a graphic novel since it has the feel of one. Hopefully I can finish both projects by the end of the year, since Rise (death and a dragon), is already past two hundred pages.I will look into getting a publisher for that once I get some cover art done. Once I get the cover art done even if it is in progress I will post it here and on wordpress.
Now to talk about the things I learned after struggling to sell any copies of my first book. I have realized the importance of social media and a marketing plan. Honestly I wish I could do it over, knowing what I do now. Posting updates as I write, I feel has definitely been helpful in gaining buzz for Rise before it is even done. Having a basic marketing plan would have been useful as well, since I could get some basic advertisement done.Oh, well I'm still learning. It seems the old saying "A writer wears many hats," is true. Maybe by the time I make a fifth book, it will be easier, haha.
Well until I post again keep reading friends and followers. Until next time.
