I am either publishing or self-publishing.If I can get a publisher after I copywrite it, then I will publish it. First, I have to finish it.
*blushes a tiny tiney bit*Thanks Emma! That really means a lot to me. I have two poems to finish and add to my collections book and then, send it out to be copy writed. I have to finish writing this book and copy writed. Find a publisher. Raise money(Which means making my parents pay me back the $800 they owe me). Or Self-publising. It's a really long process, but I exspect to have a least one book published in 2011. I'm working almost full-time during the summer (mine starts in the middle of May and ends at the end of August), which I am saving my money to publish Juicy Rumors, when I finish it. I am trying to finish it ths vacation, but I have only 5 chapters out of a potential 30. I'm trying to pace myself and not b too hard on myself or I might get writers block and I do not want that. I do not think I will get it though, the ideas are flowing out of me like a river. SO CRAZY!
But really thanks for telling your friends.
That has made my day.
I have two friends who are self publishing books. I think it would be cool if you could actually get a book published. I'd be sure to buy it :)
Hmmmmmm.........Self-publishing is not all bad. Ifyou publish with Lulu's, your book is available to any bookstore and chain stores. Also alaviable to buy online and to buy a digital copy for e-readers or any kind of reader. So, I wouldn't say that it is all bad,but I'd rather be picked up by a company, if not I will publish it, maybe get popular and then, who won? Me. Who lost out? Them. Lulu's only takes like 20% which is less that Amazon whichtakes like 40%.
Missed our post Gus.To answer your question, I do not know the exact date, since I have not finished it yet. Hopefully by the end of this year, if not well....definatly in 2012. I do really want to publish both books this year, but I have to get them copywrited and then find a company, if not self-published. It is a very complecated and extensive process, but I am sure that I will have at least one book published this year.
*laughs at Gus' post*Wouldn't it?! If only. A girl has to dream, you know! It may take a while, but I am confident that some people will like my books.
Warning: Juicy Rumors has mature content in it. No Porno scenes, but mature topics like suicide and club partying. I hope that doesn't deter anyone, but I am mature, so I tend to write my age. Not all of it is like that, though.
Fine by me hannah. I read adult books. I have since fifth or sixth grade, The stuff for my age was just to dumb pointless and annoying. All it ever was was really dumb girls trying to get boys to like them and having friend issues but in the end getting the guy. That always bothered me.
YAY!Dan, I love you so much!
You would be the first person to buy it and then, it would sit on the top of your covent to-read pile......*sacred music plays and stars are in my eyes* What a heavenly place to be.....*content sigh*
Angie, well my book is complicated......there are guys....friend troubles......sworn enimies.......packs......parental issues......just really a lot of things going on that it will make my head spin. I want to pull off a complicated drama with a splash of humor to light things up a bit. Kinda a mix between three series: Gossip Girl, Pretty Little LIars, and The Clique.
I would be the first person to buy it. and then id read it.it wouldnt make it to to my to-read pile, id put all my other books aside.
*side note: if thats the type of book it is. trying to send a copy to poppy publishing. almost every series they publish has that sort of story line-ish, and they just published an 18 year old girls book. it worth a shot at least.*
and also, my offer to borrow gossip girl still stands. lol.
LOL!So you like my loving banter with my RL BFF Danielle?
She is super ah-mazing AND PASSED PSYCHOLOGY!
*high-fives Danielle*
I believe if you do not draw inmspiration from your life, then well.....its not really worth writing. I got my dad into the spirit now. I am going to co-write his book about how Hep C has effected his life and about other things. It might take a while to write, but that will be coming out within a few years probably 4. Depends upon how much my dad writes and how much time I have to fix it up.
I'd though I'd just give everyone a heads up on that so...yeah. I'll be posting a new blog post within a few days, bcause I am jst finishing up my collections book and once I talk to this real life author guy who is going to help me out. It will be published. So I'll updae as soon as I have some info.
*tears up*I'm just so proud of you that I tell random strangers on the street.
*holds laughter incheck*
