What's an Indie author
A Fortress Defiled
Indie authors are authors who choose to forego the traditional publishing path. Indie—independent. Authors, musicians, painters, artists of any stripe. I am an indie author and I self-published my first novel, A Fortress Defiled, through Publish Green.
Why? Because I am a control freak? Partly. I think I have something unique to say, and I want to say it. Time? Yup. I want my book babies out in the world as quick as I can get them there. Money? Sure. I am willing to spend some, and I think I deserve the lion’s share of whatever money they generate.
So that’s me—Connie Johnson, indie author.
