I promised that I was going to give fans more of a glimpse behind the curtain and a say in what I publish next. It’s a win-win situation. You get to read something that you’re already invested in, and I have some much needed help in focusing my writing energies. (See my previous post on Way More Ideas Than Time.)

To set this up, I asked fans in the Paranormal Parlor and on my Facebook fan page to vote for their top 3 favorite images from an article I found with pictures of 27 eerie abandoned places around the world. You can see the winning images from that round of voting below.

What happens next is I’m going to write the first 1000 words on each one of these stories. Since I do need to plot these out at least a little bit before I write them, I’ll share a few more details (title, planned length, genre) so that readers can vote through comments here, on FB, Twitter, etc. The picture with the most votes is the next thing I’m going to write. But don’t worry if your favorite is one of the two stories that doesn’t win- if I’ve got an outline, I will write that story at some point in the future.
