Why Canterbury?

Why Canterbury?

1: Island Bench: the island bench is huge(depth wise) and without a sink. few people prefer to have sink in the island but I don’t. acc to me sink is on the side.

2: Separate theatre and formal lounge. The other contender was Sorrento, but it doesn’t have a theatre

3: Space for HUGE alfresco in future

4: Butler’s Pantry

the negatives:

1: Small WIR in comparison to Sorrento

2: As I have seen the 44 Canterbury and I am building smaller one, so not sure how small it will actually look

3: No space for Bar: the only place I can consider in future whould be turning the study to Bar. its not ideal plan but there isn’t a place for Bar.

But compromise is the word! and I know I will have to compromise on few things :(

but overall I am happy with the floor plan.

Pooja Hi Kiran,
Great article. We are about to start building with Carlisle too.
Going with the Canterbury design. I had the same apprehensions as you do!! Reading your article reminded me of all the things going through my mind at the time :)

Have you started building? Let me know how its going?

Cheers
Pooja

Thanks Pooja. The house is on slab stage. So excited for that but it got delayed by 2 months so was not happy with the delay.
But anyways...
