കത്തുകള് ഇല്ലാതായി സേവനം അവസാനിപ്പിച്ച ആ പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസില് അവസാനം വന്ന കത്ത് പോസ്റ്റ്മാന് തന്റെ പേരില് പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തതായിരുന്നു. ഇന്നും സൂക്ഷിച്ചു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആ കത്ത് അയാളുടെ സ്വന്തം കൈപ്പടയില് ഇങ്ങനെ തുടങ്ങുന്നു "അക്ഷരങ്ങളെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന പ്രിയ സുധാകരന്..."
