The book took me a long time to write. The folks at The Literary Consultancy provided excellent feedback. It's hard to believe that I pruned my own writing from six hundred pages to about two fifty: heart wrenching stuff but logical if one wants to end up with a focused storyline rather than a self indulgent ramble.

Emma's story inspired even me. I did not think it possible but I was inspired by my own creation earlier this year when I suffered a life altering stroke; I recovered but then there was little choice. If Emma managed to make it, why wouldn't I?

Of course, the story is not about just riding,romance,rape and recovery. It's about Emma's navigation of life and more importantly her understanding of death.
