I submitted my newest stand alone mystery, SECRETS OF THE TUNNELS, to Kindle. To my surprise, they wrote back and said they would like to consider it for publication. However, before seriously considering it, they want to make sure the book has enough reader support.
So now it's competing for publication against other books. Lots of people have nominated it for publication and it shot up to their Hot and Trending List.
Then, everybody who wanted to nominate it has and the book is slowly sliding down the favorite list. Sigh.
Wish I had never checked on the book's status. It's making me a nervous wreck. Wish I had simply just let it be and not know its status until Amazon tells me whether or not they will publish.
Too late now, I guess. Think I'll go over to the site and see how the book is doing.
