Hi all!

As Halloween and my release date for "Love Is Strange" approaches (keep a look out for that post bc it is actually coming soon this time hehehe) I wanted to talk a bit about the genre I think is closest to what I'm actually writing in.

As I said in the synopsis of , writing these books has really taken it out of me. When I started Joan and Elliot's story, I was kind of writing from a place of "Well, let's just see what happens" and I ended up in Crazy Town. Originally, I called that book Dark Erotica because I thought that best described it. But now that I'm knee deep in the sequel (and Mansions) I'm starting to realize that these books are definitely more horror-based than just dark.

Maybe dark erotica encompasses what I'm talking about, but I just want to find a better term so readers know what the books are really going to be about. I'm writing about people on the fringes, depraved people, people who are unapologetically violent. Yes, there's lots of sex, but also blood and gore and death and mind-fuckery.

So, for everybody who's awaiting Mansions and Love is Strange, just know that I consider them to be a mix of horror and erotica, so you can prepare yourselves. Cuz shit's about to get REAL.
