My quick story

Many people have asked me if my book, "The Miracle of Rain" was based on my childhood. Yes, it was, minus the talking animals. I grew up on a long, rural, dirt road where we would get flash floods during monsoon season. The noise of the thunder and the lightning cracking on the ground would scare me, as well as the road literally washing away, so my mom would tell me of all of the good things that come from rain, such as giving the wild animals water to drink, etc. I remembered this and when it wouldn't get out of my mind, I wove it into a story in the hopes that it would help other kids. Not just with thunderstorms in particular, but with anything they fear. Learning to see beyond what's frightening and to work through it is so important for people to learn - especially when they are little, so they don't let anything hold them back in life.
Let's not forget the kids out there and the blessings that our experiences can bring to them.
