Writing time
Hello and thank you very much for taking the time to come here. I feel very grateful for being given the opportunity to introduce myself. I would also like to thank all of you who have read, reviewed and rated my books.
At the moment I am writing the first book in the new series that is set sixteen years after the end of book five-Resolution.
The reason that I titled this Blog writing time is because that is what I am incredibly short of now.
Three years ago, carrying out my job as an electrician an old timber joist broke under me. Along with a few bruises and scrapes from the fall, I hurt my back. I then found myself bed-bound in hospital and waiting for an operation.
I know that this part of my story has now become obvious, but that was when I started to write my first book titled New World. I eventually had my op' and then spent the next eighteen months recovering and writing. In some ways it was bad time for me, but it did also give me the time to do something that I never thought I would have the privilege to do. I managed to write and then self publish the six books in the Nick Smith series.
I then recovered! In a real lot of ways this was obviously a good thing. I could resume my life as an electrician. The problem now though is that in my heart I am now a writer. New stories, new characters live in my mind waiting to be released onto the pages of books.
At present I am a new writer though. My dream is to be able to write every day but until that day comes I will continue to be an electrician. I will also grab every free moment, and I will write.
Writing time!
My warmest regards to you,
Stephen Birch
