It's nice to have a contract before you start writing.

But it's also nice to know that there's actual material to give someone, even if you feel like it sucks.

So now? There's a contract, there's no material AND I suck.

OK, that's not true. There's some material. And sometimes I'm a decent writer.

Hopefully there'll be a funny book about knitting out next year. Hopefully it'll be by me. Or some exploited house elves.
