Thrilled yet again to have another poem published--this one at Stirring: A Literary Collection (Sundress Publications). I love being able to do these posts...

message 1: by Nancy (new)

Nancy Bevilaqua I always love your beautiful comments on my poems, Joseph--thank you! Yes, I probably had parts of Big Sur floating around in my consciousness when I wrote that line.

I still haven't gotten to your Lennon poem, but I absolutely will (because I love your poems even more than your comments!). I've just been even more scattered than usual lately.

Nancy Bevilaqua Joseph wrote: "Big Sur posed some rough questions for me. it wasn't as coherent as On the Road (if that makes sense). i need to focus on the next step which will be my first published book of poems. that is next ..."

But I'm only getting published that much because I've been submitting my ass off! :) I know that that's not something you feel very comfortable doing. But your work is wonderful and magical and very much your own, and I look forward to the publication of your book!

(No--Big Sur was definitely less coherent than On the Road, but so was Kerouac at that point. I thought he found a beautiful way to reflect that. On the Road is still my favorite novel ever, though.)
