Trust is a matter of believing—or having faith—that God is ready, willing and able to take care of you and bless you. To build that trust, you have to keep the Word as the center of your focus. You see, “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). That’s what happened to me all those years ago when I first read that God cared about the birds—faith came. Without the Word, I didn’t have faith to receive.
