Crack Falling Discussion
Hi,
I am new to blogging, but I thought I'd kick off by introducing my first novel Crack Falling and how I came to write the novel. I started writing 5 years ago, and have always wanted to write a novel, but work and life kept getting in the road. Injury forced me to rethink my life about 7 years ago, so I decided the to start studying History at James Cook University and downsized to live in my caravan in the tropics of Far North Queensland with my dog Roxy.
I spent the best part of 2015 learning about typesetting, InDesign and laying a book out professionally, all of the back end requisites for self publishing like copyright, memberships, printers and distributors and will be traveling to Brisbane this week to do 2 author signings at some bookshops that stock my novel.
I am still learning and still writing. I am working on the sequel to Crack Falling and aim for a September 2016 release.
I'll post a blog each week and talk about a different topic to do with writing and self-publishing. I hope that it will generate some interest in my work and writing. Check out www.crackfalling.com for more on me and my novel. You can even read the first 40 pages for free from the website, like you can here on Goodreads. I look forward to hearing readers thoughts on Crack Falling in the future.
