I've just released a new book: Shapeshifting: Effective Scenario Training for Crisis/Hostage Negotiation Teams, which is listed here on Goodreads. It's specialized, to be sure, but even people outside the field may find it of interest. It contains thirty scenarios, geared to specific pathologies that instruct a role player how to 'shape shift,' and really get into the role so that an CNT/HNT can really get solid practice. There is a psychological consult associated with each scenario. And contrary to what many might imagine, we made the whole thing very readable and even entertaining. Aside from my novel, The Girl with the Face of the Moon, I am perhaps most proud of this book among all that I've written, as there's nothing like it out there.
