A little insight about Rasciss
Hello one and all my name is Shane Porteous author of Rasciss. Rasciss tells the story of Hollowawk a man who literally defied death and now must face the wrath of petty gods. Rasciss is available online at:

and

Among many other online sites and book stores.
Rasciss was spawned from the anger I had with the God of War video games series. Allow me to explain, in God of War the main character Kratos was very appealing to me. I really liked the idea of a man who was so powerful and brutal that even the gods were weary of him.
So naturally after playing the first game in the series I went out and bought God of War 2. Now I am hoping that I am not spoiling it for anyone, and if I am I apologize in advance. In the second game of the series you discover that Kratos is the son of Zeus and hence that is the reason why he is so powerful.
Personally this revelation ruined the story for me completely. I remember thinking why does it always have to be the son of a god, or a vampire, or a half demon, or a chosen one, or the reincarnation of some long lost Immortal? Why can't it ever just be someone that is as tough as nails?
At the same time I remember hearing a story about a young 5 year old girl who somehow managed to lift up a large sheet of concrete in order to save her father from being crushed to death. The story got me thinking about just how powerful the human mind can be as long there is enough will power.
Then I began imagining what would happen if someone through sheer will power alone was able to defy death. It was this idea along with the frustration I had with God of War that gave birth to Rasciss.
So I hope this little insight encourages you to pick yourself up a copy of Rasciss. If you do and I hope you will please let me know what you thought about it!Rasciss
