We are all around you.  Statistically that has to be true, because there are like trillions of authors now.  Well, maybe not, whatever I'm not a math person.  My point is that we are everywhere.

Every time you go out in public and someone is looking at you funny they are probably not being a creeper, maybe they are just trying to figure out how you would fit into their story.  Unless it's a dude driving a white van, then you should just run.  Okay, if it's a woman with no visible tan (because authors rarely see the sun), and carrying around either a bottle of wine or a Starbucks cup then she's probably sizing you up for a story.

So what should you do to support the arts?  Buy books?  Share promo posts?

Virtual Photography StudioWell yes those things do help, but above all... be weird.  That's right wear that crazy hat, talk to yourself, laugh too loud, just be you in the biggest way possible.  We need to see these characters that make our stories richer.  And sometimes we just need a laugh because there is some seriously dark stuff in our heads.

So from one author you've probably walked past may times, please continue to be strange.  I always have a pen and notepad ready to capture you forever.
