Funny, true story: And, I have to try to communicate with this man everyday.
My son called from Crossville and spoke to his father to say he was on his way home. Crossville is in another time zone, so my son frequently calls when he knows he's going to be late.
My husband on his way out the door to choir practice called to me and said, "Hey, that was the boy on the phone. He'll be home when he gets here."
Well, that's one less thing I have to worry about. Right? Hmmm.

and another story:
We were all sitting at the dinner table discussing professions, majors for college and such. I was talking about illustrating my book and I said, "I think we could have other illustrators sitting at this table."
My youngest son said, "I don't think I want to be an illustrator."
I said, "Oh, you want to do something more active."
My little daughter said, "No, he wants to do something more destructive....."
