Pour Out

"Pour out Your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live." Psalm 43:3

I am meditating on this verse today. My thoughts are swirling like a flood. Anger. Disappointment. Worry for the future. Anxiousness. Fatigue.

Am I in the right place Lord? Am I doing there right things? Am I spending too much time away from you? Am I focussing too much on what You have for me to do instead of who You have for me to be? How do I move forward? What do I do next?

All these questions robbing me of joy, stealing my peace.

But then I remember that I am not alone. King David (my Biblical best friend, the fellow sinner I relate too most) felt this way as well and poured his guts out in song. He cried out to the Lord, his rock, and his refuge, for deliverance. Save me, O Lord. Pour out Your light. I need Your truth to guide me. What is true? What is right? Show me Lord. Speak to me. Guide me to Your Holy Mountain where I find You, O God, my God!

I will put my hope in You again.
My Savior and my God!
