Good Intentions

My blogging history has been somewhat spotty. Originally inspired by the egregious illegal behavior of New York City police during the 2007 Republican National Party Nomination Convention where hundreds of protesters were illegally and cruelly detained for the length of the GOP invasion. Next I presented portraits of interesting gay men I knew who died too young and not all HIV related causes. Each had the potential to make unique artistic contributions in a variety of disciplines. There was a profile of a German stunt man I met who had suffered unbelievable abuse in East Germany because of his refusal to join the governing Socialist Party. His survival and triumph over his oppressors admirable. During the annual Gay Pride commemorations in 2014 I outed my participation in the most defining moment of the modern gay rights movement, the Stonewall Riots and my reluctance to talk about it earlier.
