Big Question Series Theme Category: Power of Thought

Big Question: Do other’s thoughts influence my thoughts?

The Power of Thought

Thinking about thoughts can be a tricky exercise; if we try to think about our thoughts, the thought changes! It can make a person dizzy. Try it on that first sentence, and think about what you just thought about. Okay…stop. Compound that by the fact that our thoughts are not always…well…ours! Lets take this one step at a time. First, a thought is an electrical impulse. Secondly, they travel through time, space, walls, and floors just like a particle beam. Thoughts live forever, don’t need any food or refrigeration, and are floating around us just waiting for us to let them inside our head. If this has you confused, just think about the 500 billion emails floating past your head, penetrating the room you’re in, and landing in your cell phone. Think about how the article you read, picture you view, or song you listen to affects your mood. Got it? Now ponder the people you hang around with, things you read or listen to, and you will begin to get the idea that who you are and what you become is highly influenced by your environment and friends.

To understand all this begin by understanding the science behind our thought processor—our brain—and the field of the energy that contains information and all knowledge, every individual on the planet can learn that they are a being of unlimited potential to change their reality and make dreams come true. Our minds are the most powerful supercomputers in the world and it is trillions of times more powerful than a smart phone. That’s right, trillions. Sitting on top of our shoulders is something akin to the sonar dome on one of my submarines, sending, receiving, and filtering information. Three absolutely fascinating aspects of this are: (1) just like a smart phone, every one of us has a unique ID, like an email address, a frequency code, and we are constantly transmitting and receiving thoughts that affect others; (2) Our supercomputer is sending something on the order of 100 trillion electrical impulses to 100 trillion cells in a fraction of a second and we are selecting what to receive and process with our intentions; (3) Our thoughts are changing physical matter, restructuring reality, at a subatomic level (trust me, it’s science).  If we want to life a happier, healthier or more fulfilling life, we have to understand the power of thought.  Why is this so important? Everyone was born with a dream, a purpose and a gift. The problem is not that we don’t have unique talents, rather remembering, believing and using them. It requires confidence, courage and faith and you need two game plans: the inner game and outer game. The inner game plan is within your mind and it requires us to understand how to tap into mind, remember our passion, and then overcome the hurdles in turning that passion into reality. The secret on how this process works has been known and demonstrated by Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Mozart, and a slew of great authors, painters, and visionary inventors. After you have mastered the inner game, you must then master the outer game, how to take that inspiration and turn it into an award winning, best selling, offering that fulfills a human need, then presto—you’re a success!
