Culmination Gift…

Life is a series of linked events, but today's date (Feb 11th) is the defining moment of which I term my "culmination gift." My "culmination gift" of 02/11/2007 was to receive closed head Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI where cranium is not broken), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI fractures and dislocation to vertebrae C5 C6 C7 & T1), Diffuse Axonal Injury (DAI), and 63 days of non-responsive coma, to name the "few most" prominent. The options for me by the surgeon were to be dead or a vegetable but I am here sharing and exchanging with you. I understand the rarity of my recovery from my fatal injury but my autobiography is more than a "simple" account of my injury.
