I’m going to start posting a few things here that catch my attention—curiosities, things that give me delight or activate my imagination. It will be a bit of a scrapbook, nothing fancy. It all feeds into the ongoing life of making art, of course, and in ways I’m not always conscious of. It’s a kind of preparation, I think, a building of steam. When there’s enough energy in one direction or another ideas strike. It’s a gentle kind of exploration, one that’s parallel to what’s happening in the studio. I usually paste such images into my sketchbook and now I’ll paste them here. Maybe it will give you ideas too.
