Yep, his father 'died' when he was a very small child so he wouldn't recognize his voice, and yes I agree it's probably his father.
And, before Carl Vey "passed away" it is mentioned in book 4, that he also fought the Elgen so it's very likely.
No, I have a theory, I think it's the 3rd doctor who worked on the MEI. Because in the 4th book, when Tara disguises Hatch as Michael's dad, he says that there was Hatch, Mr. Vey, and a 3rd doctor named Dr. Coonradt. That seems like a logical person for Evans to pick to be the voice because he's only mentioned once in the whole series.
Just imagine, i mean its probably not, but just imagine if the voice was one of Hatch's Glows. Maybe Bryan because they all rebeled except him, maybe being the main leader of the resistence was his rebelling act so to speak
