(view spoiler)[Blue didn't rescue, it was Grizz, and it was Grunts aunt and boyfriend. Grunt didn't even know Grizz was his father until 3 days before execution when he asked for that last visit from Grunt. When he rescued his son, he shot them dead and told Blue to say it was his brother. He didn't question Grizz, just did as he said. Hell Blue didn't know until just before the execution. You find out who Grunts mother is in the next book. It all messes with your head. (hide spoiler)]
