I’m very glad you thought so. And yes, I’ve read his astonishing intervention. My feeling about it is that whether or not one agrees with it, it is an indispensable provocation, and some of the defensive scorn with which it was greeted I found very unconvincing. It’s something I think all of us, including and especially the ‘world-builders’, should read very humbly, and think about. Again – agreement isn’t necessary, but engagement I think is indicated.
