Did that experience give you an insight into John Irving?? I felt the movie could have been better.The book however truly is a masterpiece, although i haven't read his other works
I was only 16 at the time so I can only say it was a cool experience.
sounds cool. being as it was the first Irving I read it remains my favourite. - which scene?
The wrestling scenes. I was third to run over to Robin Williams after he was shot. I real cool experience.

Ha - what a great experience. My love affair for John Irving began, also, with that movie. I was a 13 year old stuck at my grandparents beach house for the summer (lol - poor me), and when I saw the commerical for the movie, I went nuts. I still live by Garp's predisastered thought process. Never get on a plane unless the airline has recently had some "problems"!! My favorite Iriving novel is Owen Meany. My second son's middle name is Owen in honor of that beautiful character and story. I really loved Til I Find You
