Good point, as you probably can see, I was a former military member and agree with you. I believe this book is within its rights. I'm hoping to find some different viewpoints.
I agree with Allan J. Owen should be greatly rewarded for this book. He also is a great supporter of veterans and promises to give proceeds from the book sales to organizations that support retired SEALs. I kept this book out of the library long after it was due, (see I support the arts; in fines!) and I would read passages to my middle school students. We discussed character ed issues and they ate it up. This is an excellent read. I have no military background, but loved the technical details and vocab.
The "fluff" was actually as interesting as the operation itself.
